I love being part of the Nerdist family, and last night I went to the Nerdist theatre at Meltdown Comics. If you haven’t been there, it’s a great underground comedy spot that has quickly become the comedy scene’s new darling. There were lots of great comics and I even ended up on stage at one point. I was in a dating game bit during Brent Weinbach’s set. He killed and at least I didn’t look ridiculous. Mr. Big took some video so if I get a hold of his phone I’ll post it later.

If any of you are in the L.A. area, I highly recommend you check out Nerdist @ Meltdown! Rumor is that Sarah SIlverman is headlining next week…

Things That Have Happened Lately

Hey there, people! I haven’t had a chance to blog much in the last week so here’s the cliff notes of my life:

> I worked out at the gym 4 times last week. That’s alway my goal, but I usually only end up going 2-3 times. But I’ll be in Hawaii with Mr. Big next week, so I’m taking my body way too seriously.

> I watched a police take-down outside my agent’s office. A man wore his T-shirt around his face while riding his bike trying to evade the police. They caught him and used their taser on him and I had to give a police statement. My agent took the stealth photo below and that is my little brunette head speaking to the tallest man in the world (he wasn’t as amused when I called him that).

> Halo had her first big girl walk on the street and I have been walking her consistently everyday for 20-30 minutes. She loves it and literally lies on her back whenever she meets another dog. Better get her fixed soon because I may have a slut-puppy on my hands.

> I completed my first comedy writing gig for a Fortune 500 company, but due to the long non-disclosure agreement I had to sign, I can’t talk about it until they send out the press releases revealing the ‘secret’ behind the project. But I was super excited about the job and met some great people.
