I just saw this on Perez Hilton, and I had to share. I’d totally forgotten how in love I was with this Whitney Houston performance from the 1994 American Music Awards. It’s a medley with inspired snippets from Porgy & Bess and Dreamgirls. As this was pre-Internet, I took some kind of Fisher Price style recording device, held it up to the television speakers and replayed it via casette tape over and over for days. My favorite Whitney performance ever.
